LOFO High Tech Film GmbH, located in Weil am Rhein (Germany), close to the borders with France and Switzerland, is a specialist in high tech films and without any doubt among the world's leaders in solvent casting, certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.

Founded in 1928 by the Swiss LONZA group LOFO High Tech Film has been acquired in 2006 by the Taiwanese Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corp. to expand the development and production of new specialty films for optical, electronic and technical applications.

LOFO High Tech Film produces solvent casting films. This technology permits the production of films with required combinations of properties which cannot be achieved by other methods, e. g. extrusion.

In recent years, LOFO High Tech Film has increasingly focused on working together with major international customers to produce ambitious products tailored to special applications. Examples for these specialty films are high temperature resistant films with excellent optical performance, ultrathin loudspeaker membranes, films for medical diagnostics, safety films for tamper-proof labels, and functional optical films for electronic displays and 3D-glasses.
